Recommended Foods

Organic Eggs – 3 preferred ways to eat eggs:

1) Poach:  #1 choice because the water never reaches a temperature greater than 212 degrees

2) Scramble: Use butter and cook eggs over very low heat until they are just setting up.

3) Soft Boil: So the yolk is still runny

 

Butter (Organic, Free range is better)

Salt (Himalayan Sea Salt)

Organic Kefir

Fish (Wild is better. Watch for high mercury containing Fish)

Chicken (Free Range, Organic)

Beef – rare/medium rare (Organic)

Organic Veggies (kale, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, etc. Dark leafy greens)  

Organic Fruit (pesticide free) berries, apples

Nuts: walnuts, almonds, seeds, pumpkin, sunflower – no peanuts

Nut Butters – no extra sugar

Rice (Brown is preferred over white)

Millet

Pure Buckwheat (this is not wheat)

Beans

Couscous (made from pearl millet only).

Quinoa

Coffee, Tea, Green Tea, Red Wine

4-8, 8oz glasses of filtered water each day.  Avoid soft plastic bottles

Any carbohydrate (except oatmeal – see below) that is “Gluten Free” is OK

AVOID the following Foods

GLUTEN FREE!

– No Wheat

– No Barley

– No Rye

Fried Food

Oils-Canola, vegetable, corn  (Olive Oil & Coconut oil may be used sparingly if it is unheated)   

Well done meat (rare or medium rare is ok)

Deli Meat, any nitrates added meat—tell your butcher NO NITRATES

Pop/Soda

GMO Foods! (especially NO wheat, corn, soy, canola)
