3. Book your Initial Consultation:
When you are ready to begin your healing journey with Dr. Rose, book your initial consultation appointment here. Select from the dates available, mark your calendar, and keep reading below to know what to do before your first appointment and what to except along the way.
* Text Message Confirmations: A text message and automatic email will be sent after booking your initial consultation. Also, the day before your appointment, you will receive a reminder email and text message. Please respond to the text message to confirm and hold your appointment. If there is no reply to the text message reminder within 24 hours of the appointment time, the office might not be able to hold your appointment.
4. Fill out the paperwork:
Download the Patient Form here. You may fill it out on your computer and email it to Dr. Rose (at DrRose.Honor@gmail.com) or print it and bring your completed form with you to your first appointment.
When completing the forms, provide as much detail as you can. Tell me your chief complaints, specifically, when did they originally start? Like in a “who done it” mystery book, it’s crucial to find out these details to discover when the “scene of the crime” occurred and the “suspects” that lead to the event.
That means, when did the ailment first appear on your radar? Remember back to not only when it increased in intensity, but when it first started, however minor it seemed. Who’s the suspect? This includes scars from surgeries, a car accident, a fall, broken bones, medications, foods (gluten, wheat, corn, eggs), environmental allergens (pollen, grass, trees), infections (bacterial, viral, parasite, fungus) mold, heavy metals, toxic chemicals, emotional trauma like death in family or abuse.
Just as an onion has many layers, and a tree shows its age with many rings, each ring or layer shows us there’s a progression of the ailment or illness. And like a good detective who can read these signs, Dr. Rose needs a detailed list of possible “suspects” that caused the original problem.
To come well prepared, please also familiarize yourself with our Patient Policies before your first appointment. The patient policies let you know what you’re responsible for regarding the clothing to wear to your appointments, eating and drinking before treatment, what happens when you miss or cancel appointments, and how payments work. It is not necessary to print this beforehand, as you will sign it at your first visit. Keep in mind, reading the policies at home allows more time for discussing your conditions and treatment in the office.
5. What to expect at your first visit:
For the first hour, you’ll sit down with Dr. Rose and go over your completed New Patient Intake Form to discuss your conditions. The second hour involves muscle testing to find the first layer of your onion, which determines the first step towards your personalize care plan. From there, you’ll receive a treatment of Acupuncture or, if you don’t like needles, No-needle Acupuncture (laser therapy).
6. Second visit:
Based on your intake forms and test results from the first appointment, Dr. Rose gives you a detailed report called a “Report of Findings” (ROF) The first part of the report indicates your chief complaints, ailments, medications taken, surgeries, scars, traumas, etc.. The second part of the report lists the recommended supplements, herbs, diet, based on your chief ailments and issues.
7. Follow-up visits:
Based on your individual needs, this includes muscle testing and Acupuncture or no-needle Acupuncture to provide relief, rebalance the body, and aid in well-being.
8. What to expect after treatment:
After acupuncture treatments or other holistic therapies, 95% of my patients report feeling amazing and experience immense relief.
Some patients don’t have any reaction after the initial treatment because their body needs more time and treatments to shift their more chronic conditions.
Lastly, there are a small number of patients who experience “detox reactions” or what is known as Herxheimer Reactions. The stimulation and healing caused by treatments can trigger various responses in a patient’s body. They might last a few minutes up to a day. Common experiences include: headaches, fatigue, discomfort, etc..
Herxheimer Reactions are quite common and sometimes occur while detoxing and clearing infections (bacteria, fungus, mold, viruses, parasites) or heavy metals or chemicals. It’s also known as die-off. Die-off can sometimes cause unpleasant symptoms while undergoing treatments, but these are typically temporary and signal that you’re on the right path to healing.
It’s like your body is doing a “spring cleaning” by getting rid of accumulated toxins. After this initial discomfort, many people report feeling better and experiencing improved health. To support my patient’s healing journey, I use many different products to ease any Herxheimer symptoms.
